It is
a unique base for riding within the "Parque Natural Sierra
Tejedas, Almijara & Almara" The area around the ´"fincas" is home
to ibex, wild boar, stone martens, foxes, badgers, genet,
rabbits, Egyptian vultures, red kites, harris hawks and imperial,
golden and Bonelli's eagles.Designated
a natural park in 1999, this large and rugged mountainous
region of 40,663ha stretches across the provincial border
of Granada and Malaga . Its western part in Malaga province
is known as the Axarquía
and is famous for its attractive villages dating
from Moorish times. It is also superb hiking country, It´s numerous
steep mountain sides make it ideal for climbers, as its
highest peak is La Maroma
at 2,080m. Natural parks are locations of
great ecological, scientific and educational value as they
have ecosystems that have been little altered by man. We strongly
recommend you hire a 4X4 vehicle however transport and transfers
can be arranged on request.
